English Defence League

A couple of weeks ago, I had the fortune/misfortune to unwittingly stroll into an English Defence League demo, in the centre of Reading. Unfortunately, I was on the way to a meeting at the bank, and only had time to grab a few shots as I walked past. By the time I emerged, the EDL had all gone to the pub. The demo did pass off peacefully, despite sporadic football-esque-chants, loud-speaker rallying calls, and plenty of impassioned flag waving. I won’t go into the politics – anyone with an ounce of common sense will know which side of the fence to be on. (Hint: it isn’t this one.)

  1. Not a bad set, I especially like the ordering leading to the ‘subtlety’ of the last image hah.

What’s it shot on? I’ve forgotten which 35mm you have, Pentax?

      indeed, ye olde pentax k1000.
very rare i have it with me, so just a bit of luck that i did that day.

  2. Excellent. I love that camera, but I haven’t used mine for a long time. I’m trying to get in to the habit of always carrying a smaller 35mm with me now that I opted for a beast of a medium format.
