Glad to see your trip worked out. Nice light, I like the way it fades into the darkness at the front as well. Do you have some text for this project somewhere? And if so why have I never seen it?

  2. I do not. There’s a lot to it, and when I publish it, I want it to be right. I’m quite defensive about this project to be honest.. Just need to find out where it’s going.

    Glad you like it.

I’m digging this shot. Feels strong enough to be at home with the rest of the edit.

Interesting to see you’ve put it first in the sequence on your site.

Looking through again, I find that something about the Blueprint shot seems a little jarring to me now, along with the snow image which follows.

(The snow one is a tricky thing in it’s own right, which perhaps we’ll discuss over a beer.)

But on my really basic, visceral response, the underpass just seems to have so much more light in it and is so much more recognisable and so much less mysterious than many which precede it. Perhaps is isn’t helped by the fact that it’s following my all time favourite.

I just look at it and think ‘stunning shot of an underpass’ rather than ‘what. the. hell. is. going. on. here.’

(But perhaps your unseen words would make me feel differently.)

      Any thoughts?

  3. Cheers for the proper response.

I’m actually very glad that you mentioned the last two images, as every time I obsess over the series, neither sits well with me. My gripes with the underpass are the same as yours, and I can’t quite pinpoint what’s wrong with the snow shot.. Maybe the composition’s a bit ‘messy’.

The order on the site started out more thoughtful, but in recent months I’ve literally just put the newest image first.

Happy to hear you like it.
