Music for Youth Schools Prom 2012

I’ve got a bit of catching up to do – haven’t posted anything for a few months, so I’ve got a few things to put up. To begin with, here are some shots from the Schools Prom in the Royal Albert Hall which I was commissioned to cover for 3 days in November for Music for Youth. I have a mountain of great images so have basically just picked some quickly as this job has already been put to bed. I shoot the rehearsals during the day and then the concerts, which are very dynamic with performances jumping between each other from the main stage, rostrum stage (in the centre of the hall) and even the circle (the very top of the hall), so I have to hot-foot it around the venue with a camera on each shoulder to cover as many angles as possible, a good way to keep fit! This year I also took along a third camera to use as a remote which I could trigger from one of the cameras on my person – the wide shots of the hall are from this, there’s a Where’s Wally shot below!

And here I am taking that photo!
